We offer two flexible options for using the space. You can choose whichever structure works best for you, whether your event is public or private.

1. Flat Rate Rental

This option gives you full control and predictability. It’s ideal for private sessions or for facilitators who simply prefer an upfront rental model.

• Rate: $35 per hour

• Member Access: Please reserve two free spots for TUA members for any public events.

• Payment Schedule:

  • 50% due at the time of booking

  • Remaining 50% due one week before the event

2. Revenue Share

This model is perfect if you’d rather not pay anything up front and want to share the success of your event with TUA.

• Split: Facilitator receives 75% of ticket revenue; TUA receives 25%

• Member Discount: TUA members receive $20 off the regular ticket price

• The open space is 15 ft wide by 30 ft long 

• Movement-based event capacity: 20 people on yoga mats

• Seated event capacity: 40 people

• Facilitators may arrive 30 minutes before and stay 30 minutes after their event for setup and cleanup (this grace time is not charged)

• Facilitators are responsible for resetting the space using a provided checklist

• You are welcome to use our yoga mats, bolsters, blankets, blocks, and chairs

• The speaker system is available and works via Bluetooth

Ongoing Classes

We welcome recurring events and classes with the following availability:

• Weekly classes are available Monday through Friday before 4:00 PM

• All other times (evenings and weekends) must be scheduled on a bimonthly or monthly basis

Facilitators may choose to handle their own ticketing or have TUA manage ticket sales and registration.

If TUA is managing ticketing:

• We create the ticketing page on Eventbrite and handle all processing

• You’re welcome to set your own ticket price

• Early bird and other discounts can be included—just let us know

• Your payout is processed within one week of your event (via PayPal or check; checks must be picked up)

• If you're offering three or more events per month, we prefer to pay you monthly

If you choose to handle your own ticketing:

• Your event listing will be on our website, but we won't be able to include an image with it. It's a technical issue we haven't been able to sort out yet. 😬

TUA offers promotional support for both flat rate and revenue share events, but facilitators are expected to take the lead in promoting their offerings.

If your event is public and TUA is handling ticketing, it will likely be promoted through:

• The Urban Ashram website

• Eventbrite

• Meetup

• ClassPass

• Instagram and Facebook

• Our email newsletter

• Our WhatsApp community group

Graphics:

• You may provide a graphic with no text, or TUA will design one for the listing

• You’re welcome to design and distribute your own flyers or cards

• Printed materials can be left at the ashram for promotion

We understand that plans change. Please communicate as early as possible if you need to cancel. We might be able to work out a way for someone else to fill in.

If you cancel less than 2 weeks before your event:

• Flat Rate Rentals: 50% deposit is non-refundable

• Revenue Share Events: A $15/hour cancellation fee applies for the length of the event

• No refunds are provided if no one signs up for your event

• Liability insurance is encouraged but not required

• A participant waiver system is being implemented and will be managed by TUA
